HAIRraising is an organization started by beauty industry vets and business partners Gail Federici and John Frieda to support the incredible work of Boston Children’s Hospital via a one-day cut-athon.

In its 8th year here in the Hub, locals can get a deal on a cool cut from an area salon on May 21st. All proceeds from the cut-a-thon will be donated to Boston Children’s Hospital.

“HAIRrasing is a wonderful opportunity for professionals in the beauty business to get together in support of one of the greatest institutions in the world, Boston Children’s Hospital,” said Penna, who was has been involved with the event since its inception.

“I think it is important for salon owners and stylists to come together and show the power and outreach of our incredible industry,” he said.
